Into the Morning Mixby skylenComment: This is very well laid out--I especially like the "background" placemat and how the pattern compliments the cup color and adds some complexity to the photo. |

Window Linesby kevrobertsonComment: Good idea (I had a similar idea, shot it, but didn't use it, and this is better anyway). It would have been nice to perspective correct it and square it off a bit (see the top of the shot). Or maybe not perspective and bad architecture ;) |

Pine Lineby MorganComment: Looks like two Ent's talking. Interesting as an abstract. |

Flight to Ozby BradComment: I am very fond of this type of shot. I'll give you full credit, but technically, from the discussions, this is not an implied line. All the lines in the photo are real (including the shadow). |

Battle Lines by CamComment: One of my favorites of yours (I recognize) recycled! I was going to write you a note in fact telling you that this would be great for this challenge. Hoever, I am not sure I like this black and white treatment as well as the other. Seems to be a dottiness/grain to it the other didn't have (I recall). |

Into The Abyssby Dr.ConfuserComment: This falls looks great. I suggest you crop the building out though, the natural areas are beautiful here, but not the building! |

" WATCH THE BIRDIE"by kiwinickComment: Overall, this is a well done shot, and I think photography was a good way to meet the challenge. I feel two things held this back: 1) the little stuffed animal doesnt belong as part of the message, and 2) the photos were portraits rather than photojournalistic (which to me really puts the communication in photography).
Sorry I didn't have time to comment during the challenge. |

The Professor, Teaching Walt Whitmanby kdkaboomComment: This is a great shot--love the panoramic view here which to me makes a statement about the volume of communication. I really thought this would win or at least be top 10--your placement is much too low. And from some of the lower scores, I can only assume people REALLY REALLY interpreted this challenge very shallowly.
This was the most intelligent take on the challenge shot in the entire set (well, maybe except for mine ;-) which was a political/religious statement) |

Once Upon A Time... by aerogurlComment: Congrats on the ribbon! Nicely laid out, though I think it would be nice to see the end of the feather. |
