Captive Dreamsby naomikComment: Returning for comment. Excellent surreal shot perfect for dreams. It works well here, but I wonder if you also tried desaturating the face but not the lips? I'd be curious to see that version if it works as well or better than this one (which is great!) |

Getting Sleepyby cherylogleComment: Return for comment: Wow, that's excellent control of the camera movement blur with some stop action--or is this a filter? I can't tell, but if it's motion blur, you perfected it! I am curious how you did this. Good luck in the challenge. Top marks from me.
Edit: Removed wrong guess about model! Nice work. Message edited by author 2005-05-13 00:31:22. |

Alan's Past Comes Back To Haunt Himby Mr_PantsComment: Returning for comment: Very funny. I am pretty sure I know how you did this (cigarette pack in front of monitor or printed picture), but we'll see. It's perfect for dream. I like how you concealed the brand name here and the use of dramatic lighting. Bumping up! |

Peacefully reflectingby Ecce_SignumComment: I didn't have time to vote moods but I'm going through the results and ran across this gem. This is a very underrated photo. Perhaps it's the definition of moods (I didn't enter because I was only thinking of moods involving shots of people). But that aside, you've captured, in a non-effect photo a wonderful range of colors in the water that add a painterly effect. My only suggestion is perhaps a bit more contrast on the black side of the histogram might have give it a bit more pop, just a touch so you don't lose the lovely painterly effect. |

Anger Unleashed by Joey LawrenceComment: Hey Joey, I knew it wouldn't be long before your unique style came through for you with a ribbon. This is a great shot, a well-deserved win, and a new fav for me. Congratulations.
PS. I noticed when I added this that you weren't in my photog favs (or at least it didn't warn me that you were already in there when I just tried to add you!). You certainly deserve to be, so there you go. Message edited by author 2005-05-09 08:09:40. |
