"Phenomenolgy of Spirit"by RoosterComment: Pretty good, but the light's a little harsh on the left side of her face, and there isn't enough light ON her face. Looks like you took it in pretty harsh sunlight. Perhaps consider a bit of fill in flash? Loved the title but I doubt most people will get it. (I used the same word in my master's thesis... lol) |

Hypnotic Stare by librodoComment: Hey! My eyes are getting heavy... Seriously -- I like this portrait a lot, except for the hair on her face. Good composition, good capture of a mood, nice framing, good background. Just cut out the hair... lol |

Outside Looking Outby instepsComment: Hmmmmm....I think you're on to a good idea here but would want to see more poses from different angles. The model looks impatient, or bored, or something. The lighting in the background behind the window needs a lift in the corner, her jacket sleeve gets lost there. |

Smile!!!!!!!by lmatrangaComment: KInda flat with a distracting background thing behind his right shoulder. There's not enough contrast here. Cropping is nicely done yielding a good composition. |

Catching the morning raysby ladpupmoeComment: Way, way too dark. Can't really see her expression, the dog looks a bit upset to be held that way. The lower left corner of the photo has a black thing that's distracting. The idea was good, but you need to work on the lighting. |

Isa Marisolby fredrojComment: Nicely done, but I think she's leaning a bit too far. Makes me want to turn my own head to get a better viwe. The hair across her face is distracting. You've captured a good expression and the black and white works well. |

Portrait In Whiteby channeledComment: I'm not sure how you did this, but his face is too "porcelain-y" for my taste. That's just me, remember. It's kind of flat or something. The little blue spot on the upper right corner is a bit distracting. I can't vote so don't worry, I didn't bring down your score! |

Attitude is Everythingby justineComment: Nice job overall. Not sure about his right shoulder, it's fuzzy and that's either a DOF problem or not so good Photoshopping? I can't tell. Model's expression is excellent. I guess my only real issue with this portrait is the overall softness of the focus (except his eyes and forehead hair). |

Exfoliatedby dsa157Comment: Looks like a rather reluctant subject! Technically very good work (composition, focus, crop, contrast, etc.). Personally, I'm distracted by the wisp of hair on her forehead. |

Selfportraitby willemComment: Self portraits are HARD to do. I think you've done VERY well here. Focus perfect. Expression perfect. Cropping perfect. A small nit about the slight shadow over the right shadow. Sweater color was a good choice to go with your hair color. Don't you wish I could vote? If I could you'd get a 9. |
