like the concept, when this first appeared on my screen it only showed down to the top of her ankels and I liked it, then I scrolled to view the entire pic and felt the heavy red of the shoes somehow put the pic out of balance

the extremely shallow depth of field detracts from the overall quality of this photo, you got the selective saturation part right but more of the subject should be in focus

the out-of-focus desaturated part dominates this to the point of obscuring the subject, whatever that creature with the red eye is supposed to be. Perhaps leaving color in it's face as well as just the eye would have improved this; also cropping so that the subject was a larger proportion of the frame; you did get the desaturation part right- the non-eye parts are properly greyscaled.

I really like this but maybe a tighter cropping (so that the subject, the fish, were a bigger part of the image and the background was less) would have scored higher.

I think this would have looked a little better with more depth of field, it's pretty soft at top and bottom edges, other than that a very good effort that fits the challenge well

very nice entry, good depth of field; I wish the background was just a bit lighter in the area rigth above the ships, the superstructure loses definition there by blending into the background

the desaturated parts of this photo look fine but the colors of the lizard have become unnatural in appearance

Congratulations on this shot being selected as Picture of the Day on PowerShot User for June 22, an honor well deserved.
