Amid the thornsby KivetComment: Coming back for comment... I gave 4 10's in this challenge and this was one of them. Awesome colors! I love the softness at the edges of the yellow flower contrasted with the points of the cactus. |

Wow, I read your last comment in your photo's notes and thought you were talking about me, LOL. I thought, "Now how did she know?". Back to your picture... Beautiful flower shot! It's a shame we all got shot down on these. Your bokeh is excellent. |

Sixty one secondsby timfythetooComment: Trading post...
I didn't vote in this challenge but did glance through and knew this was yours. Excellent job. I love the starburst lights. The water is very calm and the deep blues are peaceful. The boat caught my eye in the thumbnail (which is how I knew it was yours). It has a really nice reflective quality to it. |

Nice capture. I followed a bee around for about an hour before giving up. Nice placement in such a large field too! Your bokeh is wonderful and the purple's/blue's are excellent. |

Beyond Understandingby nards656Comment: Trading post...
I gave you a 5 in voting on this. It seems to suffer from over processing. I think if you had taken this a little later in the day, more towards twilight it would have gone over better. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the overprocessing (as you've seen and will see again with my glass challenge), hence the 5, but sometimes it just doesn't seem to fit with the voters. |

Fog, lightsby MelethiaComment: Trading post...
Excellent shot Deb! The fog is incredible. The curb gives you a nice leading line right into the thick of it. I'm surprised the lights weren't on. This seemed to be a really hard challenge to score in for sure. |

One year later - "Why is daddy still gone?"by timfythetooComment: Trading post...
I gave you a 9 in voting on this one. It's technically very well done. I think what hurt your score is the discussion that went on in the forums about using children for these types of shots. Because your son knows his daddy I'm sure there is NOTHING wrong with this! My husband and kids are well used to mugging for the camera! |

Cut, Slowly Falling Apartby tngrndreamComment: Trading post...
Dead or rotted wood (or even roots for that matter) will never do well here. It will always seep right into the background. Maybe if you had somehow made the stump stand out somehow it could have gone up a small percentage, but I think that's the most you could have gotten out of it. Sorry :) but it not your best work. BTW - I gave you a 4 in voting on this. |
