Nice flower, but your light is a tad too harsh. I know it's not easy outside, but the sunlight might have been filtered somewhat to soften this image atad.

Super low light image. Really shows that this flower has finished its useful purpose and is now fading into nothingness. Nice composition and excellent selection of DOF. One of my favourites in the challenge.

Interesting high key approach, but feels a tad overdone. That blue halo around the leaf that is out of focus is very distracting. Also, what caused that bluish shadow in the upper right quadrant? Another branch? I also think that a black line for your frame may have been more appropriate.

Time to get shorts that weren't bought in the late 80's, early 90's. Don't understand your title. All I know is that it relates to some sort of injury caused by that cactus, I guess.

Sunflowers at Sunset

I find the went over the top with the sky. Looks way too artificial. Also, the sunflowers look so faded. I think a less heavy-handed approach to editing could have amde this shot more pleasant. As it now stands, they eyes are drawn to the blasted out highlights of the clouds. Gives the shot an aggressive feel. Consider re-editing this after the challenge.

Interesting image, but I find that the yellow seems quite washed out. Could have underexposed this shot a little or could have been burned a bit to darken those petals. Nice focus on the central part of the flower with the bees.
