I'm guessing this is the one with the reflection so I'm scoring it up. I'm sure you knew that people would mark you down for not having an obvious pencil in the shot. I like the lighting and DOF. Beautiful work that probably won't score as well as it should.

This is beautiful. I'm interested to know how you did it - overexposure? I'm sure that quite a few folks will take off points for not using a writing pencil, but I think it's a great entry.

Well, I'm a little surprised that there were two photos so similar and one placed 14th while the other placed 91st. Just shows that the idea was very good, but the voters are very picky about lighting.
The shadows were caused by a very old desk lamp. It was either that or overhead lighting so...
