Your photo appears to be a bit overexposed, its not completely sharp in focus on the face, and the blade of grass across the front is a bit distracting. Close up insect shots are very common on DPC these days and those entered need to have WOW to score well.
While I would not vote this a 1, I don't think it is one of the better images in the challenge and would likely have voted it a 3 or 4 for the reasons stated above. |
The grass-blade, and overexposure was intentional.
but lack of focus is a flaw really.

Another Man's Treasureby Luci11eComment: Great use of colors! The wires in front add to the feel.
But the bright spot in background (top right), and the bright background at top left are a little distracting. You could have dimmed them since it is an advanced editing challenge.. A good artistic shot overall :) |
