The contours of the "landscape" draw my eye right to the darkish round object that looks like an acorn cap, but I don't find it very interesting.

The three rays are nice and lead the eye to the sun, which is nicely framed by the trees and clouds. So the sun is clearly the center of interest here, but you can't really see it and it isn't that interesting; it's just bright. Of course, that is the main characteristic of the sun, and that is the main message I get from this image. Perfect for the challenge!

Interesting subject, made dynamic by the diagonal lines. But those lines lead the eye to the bright spot and out of the photo.

Camembert-potato casserole

Showing hands cutting the cheese promotes this image from a still life to an action photo. Using a clear glass casserole lets us see the carefully stacked ingredients inside. A wooden pepper grinder would have been a bit more classy, and the plastic thing to the left of the casserole doesn't seem to fit. And I don't like the frame at all. But overall a good photo.

The background elements were carefully chosen to add interest and contrast, and carefully kept blurred to make the bread the star of this photo. The lighting brings out its textures, both the crust and the inside. Great photo!

I love these! Making them part of a fall still life was a great idea, although it makes the image a little busy. The lighting doesn't do justice to the food here; the glare is a bit overwhelming.

Grilled Chipmunk

Chipmunk should be marinated before grilling. But he's so cute I'd hate to eat him. You caught a great pose. Good composition. You probably didn't have much control over the lighting, but the way the top of the grill is lit works well. A little sharpening might enhance the texture of the critter's fur.

My favorite part of baking! She has a great pose and the soft lighting works well. The background, although realistic, is a bit distracting.
