Shell Borderby JuliBocComment: I like the way this one came out, without too much "stuff" near the top. |

Shells Medallionby JuliBocComment: I like the design ... I'd probably play with the contrast a bit to brighten it, but that's just me. |

Boots from a Snowstormby SprogComment: You will find that the typical DPC voter is not fond of the technique of reducing the number of colors/shades to two or three (called Posterization), though it is a common processing technique (there's even a separate command for it in Photoshop) used, especially in advertising, to give a photo the look of an illustration.
I think the effect works well for your subject, isolating the three compositional elements (bare floor, snowdrift, and boots) beautifully.
I applaud you for submitting what you liked regardless of the possible consequences in terms of votes. I think you will have more fun if you continue to do so. |

Thoughtlessby MinsoPhotoComment: Has that "Impressionistic painting" feel to it (even more so in the thumbnail view!) -- glad at least a few people appreciate it! Message edited by author 2011-03-02 13:49:10. |

Dance of the Jellyby KelliComment: Very nice -- great colors and focus/sharpness. I got a few decent aquarium shots a couple of years ago, none better than this ... |

Wild Boarby zeuszenComment: I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been as steady getting this shot with "only" a 200mm lens ... nice work! |

arco irisby the99Comment: Nice -- I like how dark you were able to get the bottom part. |
