Overall, this is a good shot, as far as I can see. Texture clearly displayed. It's a bit bland, you know? I don't have any suggestions for "spicing it up", but it would be helpful. 6 Swash

This is a great idea! The chart at the top is a GREAT idea, the paper at the bottom, also great, here's the but, I would have liked to have seen more of the sandpaper. The center section of the upsidedown sheet only takes away this space, in my opinion. The sparkles in the sandpaper are a nice touch, could you have accented them more? Started with a five, talked up to a six, best I could muster! Swash

(I thought I had commented this shot!) VERY NICE!!! Was this in your garden, a park or a Butterfly House? I love going to Butterfly Houses!!! I have a few nice butterfly shots, but this is truly grand. I started this shot out as a 9, but I really can't see anything "bad" to mark it down even that much. Perfect 10, Swash

Dark image, were you trying to set a mood? Great texture, who would have dreamed Rust would be the cliche of the week? (attempting light/humor) This really needs something more (besides light), it lacks interest/reason to return and view this again. 6 Swash

The shot itself is fine, good focus/color. As for the challenge aspect, I'm a bit confused, or overwhelmed, take your pick. The wall has GREAT texture, but is obscurred by the vases. The vases have Wonderful texture, in various flavors, but none stand out "as THE subject". The flag sort of implies it is some sort of focal point, but the other vases are more interesting subjects. I gave you a 5. Swash (I really like the wall's texture!)

This is an O.K. shot. Well focused and framed, but overly dark, especially the center of the flower. This is often the case, when your background is very light and foreground is dark, the camera guesses badly. I think the petals turned out very well and if that were all that were in the frame, your score would be higher. Had enough? 6 Swash

Plain, simple, well done. I don't see any "flaws" in this shot. Textures are well displayed. The pink/white/black contrast is very nice. Low "excitement" shot. On the good side, I talked you up from a 6 to a 7! Swash

Nice capture of a relatively difficult subject (pictures often give the worst glare). Texture, I get it, the puzzle pieces. I often gripe about the use of other's art, this is no exception. Ignore me, if you choose. Besides assembling the pieces, how did you make this art YOURS? I started you with a 5, my I don't know what to score vote, but have talked myself down to a 4. Swash
Addendum: Suggestion - don't complete the puzzle, leave a corner unfinished, lay some of the pieces left over in that open area and maybe even on top of the puzzle and you would have introduced YOUR art into this shot. ;)

I get the texture, yes, lots of it, but the extremely limited focal range of this shot takes so much away from the shot overall. Let's just say you cropped off the top 1/2 and the bottom 1/8, you'd have something easily viewable. I don't know the correct settings to widen the depth of field, but a flatter view does help limit the range of the shot. I like this side view, but if it doesn't all look good..............
