First, my dumb, but I don't get the title. Sad message, well portrayed in B&W. The rings are exceptional! I find viewing the writing is inconsistant. On the left, it's very hard to read, while on the right, it's very clear. Poor john.....

A very cool idea, well set up. Nothing hugely wrong in my eyes, so I'm going to nit pick you a bit. The bread is slightly blown out on the right, the lower crust is a tad too dark (hey, decide what you want, lighter or darker! That's a comment from you to me....) Not thrilled with the crop, but no ideas how to make it better. 9 Swash

Great idea, well executed. I can't help but feel that the position of the pencil is almost too good, such that you can't really see the part of the mountain top it is blocking to say, yes the whole mountain top is flat, but your shot is excellent, so I will just let that go. 9 Swash

An interesting effect, but I honestly don't like it as a photo contest entry. The subjects are difficult to view and it looks more like a Photoshop manipulation.
