front-yard.jpgby tpbremerComment: The light does indeed have a nice warmth to it here, bringing out the yellow well. |

Girls by ZigomarComment: Excellent use of the lensbaby. I'm not a big fan of the lensbaby, but this is a perfect use for it. I also like how the colors have somewhat of a Holga quality to them. Great shot. |

Soaringby cynthiannComment: I like your choice of subject. Even though it's a typical scene, it lends itself well to the grain and B&W.
And even though it isn't a raven, all I can think of is "Quoth the raven, 'Nevermore.'" Message edited by author 2009-06-25 06:54:49. |

by MephistoComment: Definitely a perfect moment to capture for this SC. You did a pretty good job keeping the real anachronisms out as well. |

by MephistoComment: While I think the harshness of the lighting and high contrast would lend itself well to b&w, I think the color matches the mood of the two facing each other without actually interacting, helping to depict their separation. |

Persistencyby MistyMuckyComment: I would agree with paynekj that the text color isn't very appealing. I also don't really see any visual connection to persistency in the subject matter. For me, these posters generally have a small correlation to subject matter, but I see very little in this.
A more interesting font would have helped as well.
It also sorta feels like the waterfall is cropped a bit close for my taste. Message edited by author 2009-05-20 07:13:29. |

Almost Summerby bob350Comment: Neat Perspective. I like the flipped image and the intense shadows. |

"green" giants by rachelellenComment: You know, I feel the same way about the generators, and honestly did exactly the same thing as you: never went until I went to go try to get a photo. Unfortunately, the weather was atrocious and the visibility was so low that I couldn't even view the top of the generator, just the blades swinging into and out of the low level fog. Anyway, the point of all this is to say that I like your photo and I can definitely relate :) |

Staring You Down by SimmsComment: I hadn't seen this one before... and I was missing out. This is like the cow-porn equivalent of the rugged cowboy shot. Gritty. Excellently done. |
