Yellow Brick Roadby DeniseBernadetteComment: I like the detail, perspective and composition of this very much. I am not a real fan of selective focus but in macro it is something you have to deal with so it is fine in this. Just a little brighter and a bit more saturation for a suggested improvement but very good as is. |

Bolonhesaby scudsComment: Like the lighting in this, especially the lit edges of the fork behind the pasta. Nice composition and really intersesting and unusal for a macro. (I was tempted to say either 'Where's the bug?' or 'Ats-a-nice' but I couldn't just leave at that....good luck!) |

Bug on Daisyby ConcreteDonkeyComment: A most curious and interesting looking insect. It resembles sort of a minature flying dragon and looks almost like a toy. Whatever is it? Some of that comes from the focus being off on the under side of it towards the legs, but it does make my wonder and I have been drawn to it each time I have seen it this week. |

Flow of Lifeby elsapoComment: Very cool reflections captured in the stop action of the flow of the water. Like the abstraction of it very much. The detail on the spiket is good too...I sort of wishing it was on an angle for the sake of the composition but that might have effect the great reflections you got. Cool shot! |

Not so itsy bitsyby bobdaveantComment: Super detail on the subject and especially on the web. The compostion is fine vertically but horizontally it is a bit too centered. The framing of the bacground is nice and I think losing some of it on the right and cropping in from there a bit would improve the compostion. Regardless the exposure and detail are great and the composition is more of a nit than anything major. |

Intimate Settingby aboutimageComment: Think this is more of a stil life than a macro. It is a very good still life and I love the tones that you chose, the composition and the challenge to your exposure was handled well in this. |

Moth Abstractby glad2badadComment: Great detail on this and I like the colors and textures, you can see the inconsistency of the make up of the wing that you would not see this close. That said I thnk you might have gotten too close and showing a bit more of the pattern might have made a more colorful and inviting image as this looks a bit clinical as is. But I let the detail factor override some of that. |

Hangin' 10 ... or is it 8 ... 12???by jenesisComment: The detail on the subject is quite fine...I am not sure what the center of the flower adds to this though it does provide a base for the petal from which the subject is hanging. The straight horizontal composition is bit stagnant (sic) and you might have tried more of a CW angle so that the subject was more towards the lower right third. Very good exposure. |

Remember Liberty on This Birthdayby fulgentComment: Really close...nice composition and the colors are fine. you got a bit of shadow on the lower third but when your are this close, I do not know how you might have avoided it. Excellent detail. |

The Journeyman by muur88Comment: I gave this a 9 because it had great leading lines. I have to agree with some that said the dark backgound look un-natural. I think the only thing that you really needed to get rid of was the glimpse of what appears to have been another person. The other changes to the bridge were fine. Regardless it is a great example of the challenge theme. Congrats on your blue! |
