Love Parkby scooter97Comment: Great choice of shutter speed to transform the fountain into a colored veil that we can still see through. Must be quite an impressive sight in person. |

You lookin at me?by LutchenkoComment: Framing is very good. Could have been an entry in the recent "Unusual Objects" challenge (certainly more unusual than some of the top finishers). The bright blue sky sends a cheerful message, and makes me think of the face as reflecting how someone might feel after eating too much greasy fast food. It would be interesting to see whether that perception would change if using a black and white or sepia treatment. |

baby cabbage.jpgby risenphoenixsterComment: Newly growing garden plants are well worth capturing in pictures. I think you elimiated noise pretty well. I find myself using a tripod more often than not for a static object when the light is marginal. It provides a way to get a good exposure with a lower ISO (and lower noise) by allowing a longer shutter speed, with the bonus of a sharper image (no wobbly hand, and even the opportunity for narrower aperture for greater depth of field). If no tripod at hand, dragging a box or bench into the area might provide a firm platform. |

star light.jpgby risenphoenixsterComment: The star shape separates just enough from the dark blue background to work well. The many shapes of brighter light and scattering of other colors add a lot of interest. |

Rooster-Crossing_6270.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Great to actually see some of the less urbanized New Jersey environment instead of the usual relegation to obscure footnote in a piece dominated by urban/industrial structures. |

Gay old timeby ZigomarComment: The tree branch really ties it together well. Live acoutsic music, often with dancing, exists in most cities in most countries (and not limited to old folks either), but tends to be relatively invisible because it doesn't receive attention in mass media. Thanks for making it visible. |

the kat farmby cginoComment: Those clouds boil in endless turmoil, quite a contrast to your snug and stable house (with a very nice fence attached). I'll bet it feels great to humker down with a good book when the wind howls. |

7-june 09 where i live. in the waiting roomby rozComment: Excellent use for wide lens, and interesting combination of foot on floor, foot elevated, and legs to make a combined diagonal. The low tech chairs in stark rows are enhanced by your very good black and white processing. Sorry to hear of you being sick. Hope the doctor had something useful for you. |

O.Oby nixterComment: Great expression, enhanced by choice of black and white. Great timing to capture this with the other people nicely tucked into the background. |
