Gigantic Yellow vs tiny red

Comment:
Yellow and red are probably the hardest colours to portray in an image. I think this image suffers from being too bright therefore causing the colours to block up a lot. To achieve more detail in the flowers it would need to be exposed less. You may be able to adjust this in your photo editor. Best bet is to try and shoot again.

Comment:
Transition between the table/floor and your background is a little too abrupt (IMO). To make the transition line softer, move the subject further away from the background and shoot more wide open to decrease the DOF.

I think you have a good idea here and high key can work. A couple of things that I think let it down though.

1) The water at the top of the shot - to me doesn't add anything. You could safely crop it out.
2) The head of the bird is too dark. Bring out the shadows on the head and I think you'd have a killer shot in conjunction with 1).

That looks really cool. The artificial moire pattern works well with the ducks.

I think you've captured the quirkiness. What I noticed looking at it is that the front row of marchers lines up perfectly with the character who 'stepped' into your shot. I think a closer crop emphasizing that aspect of the image would provide greater impact.

It does look like a nice scene, however, to me, there's not enough contrast between the boats and the beach to make them stand out. Also, the clouds seem to draw the eye since they are the lightest part of the image.

You can preserve the muted colours (which do work well in this scene) even if you bump the contrast.

I gave your shot a 7. I like how you isolated the person with the camera. The OOF person in the foreground works really well at guiding you into the image.
