In the Fangs of Shadowby librodoComment: This is a wonderful photojournalistic portrait. There are two things that I think would make it even better, 1) Crop closer to the boy's head on the left to remove some of the dark area and 2) either have his hand in focus or crop just above it. I think the DOF might be a little bit too shallow since the left side of his head seems to be out of focus.
The exposure on his face seems just right. 6 |

"Back" Cover Girlby DougPazComment: This is an interesting image. The exposure seems bang on though a reflector may have helped on the right to add light to the left side of your model. The hair on the your model's right (image left) detracts from her face blending more with the magazine. If it were pushed back I think the blend would work even better. Good choice of background. 8 |

Captivatedby sherComment: Great expression on the girl's face. She looks like she's mad at the bubble. Even though she's concentrating on the one bubble it might work to not have the image as tightly cropped on the right or use a vertical crop that would include more or the girl.
The subtle colouring adds to the mood. The depth of field is perfect keeping the background from being distracting. |

The Guitaristby timj351Comment: You've caught a good expression on the musician's face. The crop at the top seems a little bit too tight and the grain is uneven. There seems to be too much grain at the top and none at the bottom. 6 |

Mercyby hopperComment: Good skin tone and hightlights in your model's hair. The one finger at the bottom is a bit distracting as are the bright areas in the trees. Catchlight in the eyes is perfect. 7 |

Gasolineby GringoComment: Even though there's a lot of 'stuff' in the photo it feels balanced and organized. The soft colours set a nostalgic mood. The focus seems a bit off as items on the right seem sharper than those on the left. 7 |

Sky light!by kosmikkreeperComment: Capturing lightning can be challenging due to its random nature. The bottom half of this image has some nice symetry with the water, lightning and hills, however the darkness at the bottom and large expanse of sky take alot away from your image. I think this would work very well as a panorama isolating the lit portion of the image to emphasize the lightning. 5 |

Vases Filled With Waterby GolferDDSComment: Nice monochromatic patterns. The two large vases show the pattern very well and it appears to be quite sharp, however the pattern in the small vase seems a bit dim and the focus seems soft. This could be related to the quality of the glass or the distance from the vertical pattern. The exposure seems right though. 6 |

The Hornetby rhipsterComment: Colours and texture are wonderful and the exposure seems bang on, however the DOF seems a tad too shallow. What is in focus is very sharp. With the angle of the photo I think more DOF would help balance the image between in and out of focus elements. 8 |

Peace Pleaseby SonifoComment: Lighting - I think the lighting is very subtle and helps with the mood of the image
Composition - good placement of the girl and the message on the wall with the girl looking into the image
Exposure - seems right for the mood
The focus seems a bit soft . I think this image could benefit from having everything sharp. 9
