that red splash at the bottom & the repeating curves(spider webs? what are they??) at the top right makes this IMO. it takes an otherwise somewhat ho-hum image & gives it a nice "Bang"!

notes from the "blur" side challenge: without noticing you had entered this in Impressionism, the first thought that came to mind is how clearly this would have fit! i am stunned you landed so near the bottom of the pack..the colors & the effect are perfect. With all the "filters effect" griping that's been going on around here, I cannot imagine why you did not score higher.

hi Judy, you know I am rarely tha nay-sayer, but this time I will be; I would like this so much more if the bike rider was bigger in the frame~ there's so much going there he is practically lost, and perhaps that is the point? ride a bike to get away from it all?? :)

BTW, I like the lines from that fence & that great fluffy cloud!

ooh!! as a former thumbsucker (ouch! hated those braces LOL!!) I sooo totally relate to this little face & that lovely thumb!! you captured this so well, and it will be a joy for her to look at years from now when she smokes cigarettes instead! (gosh, HOPE not!!:) (quit that bad habit almost 25yrs ago!!)
