Day 28 - Ruinby xianartComment: This is a very high drama moment you have captured. I hope that the hill will at least stay cow pasture now, instead of being wall to wall condos like they are building in this area now.
A big trac-hoe like that is the tool of choice for this type of destruction. They are like the offspring of "Godzilla" of movie fame when it comes to wrecking things large or small.
The guy in the edge of the pic adds a lot to the human connection in the image.

Armadillo for "All Things Texas"by SandyPComment: Gorgeous contrast with the grey against the brown, and with the green leaves for a little kick.
I like the way that they jump straight up in the air when they are startled. We have them here too, but they are more tan looking than grey. I think that the ones here are the 13 band variety.
I can't help but think about my traveling musician days when I see this. To break the ice with a new waitress at resturants I would order a "Ram ham spam beef bear and buffalo club sandwich, with a side of octopus arms and lizard gravy in an armadillo half shell. " It would get a good reaction every time. I still do that once in a while. |

turners mill wheel-4749.jpgby griz210Comment: That's a nice glimpse of long ago. The wheel looks as if it is peeking out from behind the tree to see who is taking the pic.
Good tech, and nice colors in this one. Like the silky looking water too. It must really be moving along. |

Day-23,-Ontario-Canada.jpgby IvoryComment: Your images are so good that each one could easily bail you out for several days of not posting to this PAD. You live in a beautiful place, and you make the most of it with your camera and computer. |

Day 28 - Church Bellsby JimyThingComment: Good spot, and you made the effort to get it too. I do that a lot as well.
I shoot a lot of images with the moon included, and find that sometimes it is good, and other times a distraction. It's good in this image. I like how you exposed for the tower, instead of leaving it dark. |

Day 27 Locked And Forgottenby renegade1966Comment: The backlight behind the lock brings it out strongly, and it looks good to me too. When you are behind a camera, that is where you live for that moment, so this is fine for today. |

Day 29 - Untitledby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Too bad about it not fitting the rules of the "Trees" challenge.
This is a great tree for a photo, with all the texture in the bark and then the bare dead limbs for contrast. It's a real test of lens to shoot into white sky backlight like that, and still get the contrast and exposure in the subject as you have done. The DOF is a good point with this image too, as the focus is good from top to bottom. |
