Primary Glass after Jackoby banmornComment: The shape of the glass is the only downfall of this attempt, failing to capture enough of the opposing color of the background, but I must rate the challenge,â¦7 |

Tribute to aimeethetoo's 'Cirque de Stickee Notes'by JeniYComment: As with many of the photos I have rated in this challenge, I believe this picture would do well on its own, but falls short on the small details that made the original a ribbon winner, still all in all a good shot that rates a 7 from me. |

Tribute to ClubJuggle's "All Gave Some - Some Gave All"by JBHaleComment: If you want to grab my heart, the âWallâ will do it. In this emulation I think you missed on the full emotion of ClubJuggleâs in a few ways. The original had a better angle to the wall, the hand placement has more natural feel to it, and the lighting is smoother. Giving all that this in a challenge by itself would be a top 20 picture, but compared to the original I can only give it a 7. |

iBook Re-readby J-MeComment: I must in this challenge vote to how the original photo was presented. Your emulation falls short on a couple of small points. 1 your DOF is much wider, and 2 the number and fanning of the pages are quite different. All and all nice shot and a 7 from me. |

Liberty ... inspired by goodmanby RetroesqueComment: Let me start by saying by its self your photo would be deserving a ribbonâ¦..BUTâ¦We are comparing to those that have proved exceptional before our attempts. IMHO your lighting, composition, and pose perfect. Yours misses on only one aspect, the hardness of the model, there is a innocence to your young lady, with the original there is none, and that is what made it a blue ribbon winner. You attempted to emulate a tough subject, my vote a 9. |

Flight 5by MelethiaComment: This is a fantastic image in so many ways. First I notice that this is obliviously a shopping district, and yet there are so few people. There is also the signs of war, and still a small child walks with dad in the middle of the street. Color is evident but muted, barely diverting the eye from the drab of the buildings, as if to say âwe are hereâ without drawing attention to themselves. This is a place used to war, and that is a sad thing.. |
