So many things to look at in this picture. I'm looking at all the squares in the median and also at the colorful barrels. I cannot tell if their are sattelite dishes on top of the buildings. Also i see the women in their burkas as well. So much to see!

This is a fantastic image in so many ways. First I notice that this is obliviously a shopping district, and yet there are so few people. There is also the signs of war, and still a small child walks with dad in the middle of the street. Color is evident but muted, barely diverting the eye from the drab of the buildings, as if to say “we are here” without drawing attention to themselves. This is a place used to war, and that is a sad thing..
