I think this picture is a little soft for this challenge. I think this good looking boy�s eyes could have sold it,. you just needed to bring attention to them..

The Doll - Before & After

First, I went into your portfolio, to look at this young ladies photo shoot, you did a fantastic job of capturing her personality.. On this take I like your overall concept, but looking at this outside of challenge rules you might look at a couple of issues. Unlike some of the comments about the stray hair I kinda like it, it adds a nice curve that in my opinion adds personality. The nose ring on the other hand �to me� just does not fit the �china doll� theme I think you are going for. The other thing that I noticed was on the original shot the shadows on the sides of her mouth look normal, but on the porcelain skin and red lips of your end result, it almost looks like she might have had chocolate cake for a snack and missed a spot or two.
Anyway take my thoughts with a huge grain of salt, I usually fail to accomplish critical acclaim on my own lackluster attempts at art.

I like the Mayberry feel to this one. I find sometimes a little dodge and burn sometimes help make things appear more in focus, it might help the boys a little.
