The House of the Seven Gablesby vawendyComment: There were a few from this challenge that really captured the story well. After much internal debate this was my favorite of them. I assume this is from a recreation or tour? Or you just happen to have a cooking pot over the fire in your 200 year old kitchen...10 |

Charlotte's Webby glad2badadComment: Fits the story well.I would have liked to see a little more detail on the spider though. 6 |

Lord of the Fliesby posthumousComment: This depicts the story well. I really like the effect the leaves have with the boy still sharp. He looks a tad too clean though. 6 |

"A River Runs Through It" by Norman Maclean by rjksteschComment: Really like the colors and feel. The mist in the trees and the fog feel to the water mixed with the bright yellows and greens feel like out of the story. The major element of the story is fly fishing though and this only has a loose connection there. If this were another challenge I would have bumped it one maybe. 7 |

To Kill A Mockingbirdby mefnjComment: Did you find this as is? This is a well staged shot. Not a mockingbird, and not at all relevant to the story, but I can't help but score it well. 7 |

The Black Swan by Nassim Nicholas Talebby BenstedComment: Definitely a black swan, and even an outlier. Would have liked a little more distinction between the black and the grey. The chopped top of the neck is a distraction as well. 5 |

A Bend in the Riverby moondogComment: Seems a bit too much like a grab at the title and not so much the story. The processing on the back row of trees comes off well, but the middle and forward trees it doesn't work as well. I do like the herons on the bank, but not really relevant to this. 5 |
