The first few time I looked at this, I thought ummm...4 or 5.

I like the crosshatching look in the photo. The image makes it look like the "something wicked" is making a disturbance in the visual perception of the background.

Gave it a 7

6..interesting a creepy. Honestly ,I should bump this to a seven....so 7. I love how it keeps me guessing, is it a face? Is it not a face? Is it a creepy clown face? The greens are really appealing too and make me think of the emerald city from the Wizard of Oz. It's almost like you've killed two birds with one stone here...I'm thinking 8. Pardon me if I seem a bit crazy, but kudos to you for making me think and letting me use my imagination.

a good interpretation of the wicked something
this is not 'motion blur' or 'camera shake' to me as much as ethereal
a 7

Dude. Really?

I mean, it's Halloween season, and you deliver this for "Something Wicked"?

Disappointing. 3

Having spent more time with this, and really trying to see what's going on, I've finally found a face (more obvious in thumbnail), and think it adds to the photograph.

Can't give it HUGE love, because it is so faint, but that 3 just became a 6.

yes, you've created that sense of something ominous approaching. 6

Get the feeling of mystery, fuzzy, the unknown which ties it to the novel. I get to make up the characters as I look and feel. The colours a little flat for me, but a brave effort for this lot.6.

Quite a challenge to take on this story. But as I remember reading the lurking terror, this is not a bad representation of what was in the minds of the kids. The darkness and grassy background are appropriate, and the vaguely articulated figure seems quite appropriate. 6

I like the movement, and really like the colors. The hint of a skull or face lends to the story. Still a tad too abstract. 6

Interesting shot. When I first voted, I gave this a 5. But coming back to comment, I was able to see a "face" on the left side of the picture. Very creepy. That makes the title fit much better. Bumping to a 7

Very disturbing image and very chaotic. Perfect for the chosen book! Can't help but see a set of eyes and a face in the white portion on the left! eerie!

Nice, but in a deja vu way. In any case it does not have enough fantasy and horror to match the novel

Wow what a cool shot.
It looks like an abstract skull.

Intriguing. I like the greens. I find myself wishing there was more definition in the "figure", but as I'm trying to make more definition, more is appearing. It gets better as I look at it. -6-
