The Power To Flyby BHusemanComment: Lovely, the motion blur takes this away from being simply an image of a powerful aircraft to actually demonstrating this power in an image
Excellent 9 |

Cowboy Powerby DirtypainterComment: Wow...Now that is power!!!! Favourite shot so far and I hope it does not suffer because we had another rodeo winner in a recent challenge
Brilliant composition, meets the challenge better than any I have seen in the challenge to date (my own included)

Power in Numbersby CVetteComment: Not to sure about the title (I might have gone for plain and simple horsepower...Fortunately marks are given for image not titles) Love the duo-tone which makes it (other than the cars in the background) feel like it could have been taken from the pages of a sports annual from the 1950's and which really complements the image. The crop seems a tad low, but I appreciate that for action shots like this you generally dont have the luxury of composing the shot as fully as normal |

Lightby AmeedEl-GhoulComment: Excellent image that not only meets the challenge but does so in a very aestetic way. Great diagonal leading lines cause by each of the forks |

Rechargingby cujeeComment: Very funny concept, though perhaps the focus could be a little tighter |

The Last Step is a Doozyby SandyPComment: Blimey Sandy is there nothing you cant turn your hand too. Daisy and I had simultaneously laughed out loud and taken a sharp inhalation of breathe when we had seen this shot
May not be one of your ribbon winners but fantastic nonetheless |

Grandpa's Hand Toolsby bassboneComment: Peter
Great photo and good finish!! Have to say this shot struck a particular chord with me as my late grandfather used to be a carpenter (as in someone who worked with wood rather than a member of the pop duo) and I remember seeing him working with tools like this (which used to glide effortlessly under his control then transform themselves to lumpen objects if ever I picked them up). Your story about them being your late father's tools adds an extra layer of poigniancy
Great job |

He Loves Me... by CharleneComment: You fell foul of the DPC voters natural and in-bred hatred of images that are soft. I really like this shot and who cares what it scores if someone loves you! |

Relative Velocityby colorcarnivalComment: Michelle
Fantastic photo, which IMO had 6+ written all over it. Brilliant vibrancy of colour and the motion blur is just right
I can also relate 100% to the comment about spinning things being a whole lot less fun than they used to be.
If pressed I would say that this photograph is even better than nice!!!!! ;-) |
