So I'm getting older now and for some reason it is really easy to throw off my equilibrium. Even a simple spin means that the world keeps moving when I stop. So I avoid rides like these whenever possible.

So the kids are in line and I thought getting pics of them riding might work for this challenge. HOWEVER, before the guy lets the kids past the gate, he tells me that the youngest one cannot ride without an adult. Joy-o, in I go. And after the ride starts, the little one tells me that he does NOT want to be there. lol.

This turned into an opportunity in disguise because the photo became a little more interesting than the ones I was taking while NOT riding.

If you don't like the composition, too bad lol. I'm on a spinning ride using one hand to hold a camera on my shoulder (and the other hand to hold down the child who did not want to be there) - this is as good as it gets. :D

Great motion capture, all the more impressive to know you took this while also on the ride!

I don't think it helps your equilibrium when you are taking shots during the ride. :) wonderful shot. Nice movement and considering the difficulty, I think you managed to pull off a well composed shot.

The things we do for our passion. Good colors, clarity, motion and fits the challenge. At least a 6.

Michelle

Fantastic photo, which IMO had 6+ written all over it. Brilliant vibrancy of colour and the motion blur is just right

I can also relate 100% to the comment about spinning things being a whole lot less fun than they used to be.

If pressed I would say that this photograph is even better than nice!!!!! ;-)

More motion in the background would have been more interesting.

"Whew, what a ride! I'm sure glad that I put in that extra hair gel this morning!" the one boy said, checking to make sure that his hairdo was still intact.

"Ah, you're nuts!" said the other boy, watching his cart mate fussing with his hair. "Who's gonna see ya anyways? You shoulda got the buzz cut that my mom made me get and you wouldn't have to worry about it."

When the 2 boys got off the ride, one went directly to the bathroom to fix his ailing hair and place more gel into it, while the other, with his carefree do, headed for some candy floss.

Both boys walked through the fair for the rest of the night......one with hair as hard as a football helmet and the other........well, he just flashed his big ole smile......blue teeth, tongue, lips and all from his candy floss.

Very sharp shot. I would like a less distractive background (more panning or something).
