Plantby MelethiaComment: Great flower close up and great application of the rule of third. As ever your dof is spot on and the colour balance works fantastically |

Day-10-BW-IMG_2498-hotel.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Its a five star hotel...At night you can see them through the hole in the roof!
I do love the sense of dilapidation that you have caught here, which combines with a slight sense of menace (when I saw it the first thing I thought of was the Bates motel in psycho!)
Lovely composition and excellent the way the window and crack on the larger building runs down the rule of third line. This along with pinebough is my favourite of yours in the competition! |

11by sevilduvarciComment: I love this as a candid shot and the fact that you have to take a few seconds to actually work out what is going on...of course given the fact that neither of them are in sports gear it leads to the question 'why is he/she stratching like that' and this ambiguity really gives the image an appeal of its own |

No Junk Mailby RetroesqueComment: Yaaay as ever a totally different shot from you, just love the sharp tones and contrasts that you have got on the bricks and the way these stand out from from the door itself. I really like this. |

Shaggyby RetroesqueComment: He's a cutie. Not really come across blending like this before and I love the subtle impact the flowers have on the side of the frame, but not too sure about that above the caterpillar which almost looks as if a stray hair has been caught on the lens and imo detracts slightly from the excellent way you caught the critter's fur |

Fence Detail, Day 12by jackal9Comment: Wow, 2 days after the 'ladder of death' I cant wait to see what you are going to produce for the vanishing point competition. I love the dof here, which works really well with the lighting and the strong leading line. Also its clever how you have broken the rule of thirds as the eye is drawn straight to the centre of the shot and the very tightly focussed fence post. The black blob in the background is a tad disconcerting and I wonder what it would have looked like with this dodged out but this is a simple yet very appealing shot |
