Day No. 15by GermaineComment: What a great image and I am glad you persevered till you got our attention
OK not only do you have the obvious contrast between the live trees and the decaying wood of the building, but you also have the wonderful framing of the trees
I guess the thing that really appeals though is that because the window is so dirty it has a real matt look to it which makes it almost appear as if the trees are painted on. I looks like an extract of a very old oil painting which has been revelaed during renovation |

Wash-Melonsby karmatComment: Another great shot of one of your children (I cant believe your scrapbook is not up to date!!!)
A wonderful story, and I have the feeling that when Kristi is 20 you are still going to always use the word washmelons to her when talking about marshmallows
Great story super image |

SSSS-wingby karmatComment: How strange that we both went for the 'eyes wide shut' baseball children
A shot that you must adore (the tongue coming out in concentration and effort is sublime)
Cool image |

Innocent Beauty -- In Her Harsh Grungy Worldby SandyPComment: Another fantastic portrait Sandy, my only possible 'complaint' was that this looked so perfect I had assumed that it had been set up with props in a studio
Very haunting expression on the girls face (almost a dichotomy in itself)
Great job, as ever

Seven Silhouetted Sunset Swimmersby KenComment: Ahhhh the beauty of aliteration!!!
Many congratulations on the top 20 finish and also on a lovely shot. Given that you finished where you did and I finished where I did it seems a bit odd to be making comments on how this (excellent) image might have been improved but I wonder it you had cropped the boat out whether it would have been even more impactful
Glorious colours and image |

day 15 - birdsby rachelellenComment: Yo-Yo, the blackbirds are in the 'hood...Although if they were really that tough then they would surely come out in the dark rather than go home!
I have to say I am a massive fan of negative space shots and this is a classic, especially since you have got so many blackbirds on the line which contrasts wonderfully
Very cool and slightly eerie |
