just wanted to say that I gave this an 8 and I find that the fact that this barely broke 5 a bit discouraging. The poor masses really lack the appreciation for great photography.

hmmmph. I'm sorry to say that i didn't take the time to look at this during the challenge that it deserves. I think I may have been tired or subconsciously jealous because I had taken a good number of photos at Coney Island with a similar feel, none of which came out looking nearly as real. In the end, I only gave this a 7 and coming back to it now I can't see why I didn't score it higher. 5.68 is just funny. Keep up the good work.
