Dry Heatby beekperComment: I would have done some levels adjustements and played with some black and white options on this. It's a beautiful image with great lines and texture that I think could look better with a little bit of post-processing. Also, the bushes seem a bit blurry. Perhaps this was due to wind and a short shutter speed. Or perhaps it was exactly the effect you were looking for. I think I would prefer them to be more sharply focused, crisp to contrast with the softness of the sand. |

The Hidden Faceby torrenzanoComment: The more I look at this the more appealing I find it. Nice abstract quality. Seems spur of the moment but not rushed. Good eye. |

Big Footby johnnydComment: Ha! I tried getting some similar shots of my cats paw but she just wouldn't stay still! I really like this but I wish you had selected a plain white or black background instead of the rug as I feel it conflicts with the interesting mixture of textures in the paw itself. Nice work. |

texture of future...by theodor38Comment: I highly commend you on this shot as I tried taking some photos of the textures on my hand and just couldn't manage to get it right. On top of doing that very well you added the interesting touch of the striated light. Very artistic. 10 |

Flowerworksby ShelleyComment: That's a great technique you have there! I'm going to have to go give that a try (if I'm right about how you did it). I love coming across photos in the challenges that actually inspire me. Great work. I'm also curious if these are the natural colors or if you changes the color balance and saturation in PS. |

All Wetby HavokComment: I am absolutely enthralled by your choice to make this a black and white. Not many people would have the guts to do it and I think it was an outstanding choice. 10 |

Sunlight Hardwoodby cooliakComment: Great shot. It doesn't exactly shout "texture" to me, but I can get a sense of the texture to the floor. It is the composition and lighting and lines that make this image powerful. It first glance I found the image disturbing. I thought the leg was a persons and then when I looked at it further it was so strange and I thought it was a skeleton's leg. Then, of course, I realized it was a table leg of some sort, but the mystery and eerie feeling I felt at the beginning lingered. |

Margarine on a knifeby andywightmanComment: The photo isn't that great. Not very interesting in terms of composition and lighting. It might have helped to fix the levels as it is a bit dull. The texture, however, is quite interesting. I have never seen margarine act like this! I think a close-up crop on the margarine would have been more effective. |
