Contemplating Takeoffby gocComment: OH bravo! I love the airplane in the background...and the whole atmosphere you've captured here is wonderful. Great work. (Don't tell anyone, but I personally like this a lot better than anything that finished in the top ten...) ;D |

TopazSpooky-feb07.jpgby dassilemComment: I love it! The way the eyes pop out from the subtle shades of the black fur is wonderfully creepy. I personally would have tried to get a slightly less cluttered background and also taken the dog's collar off, to increase the impact of that effect... although quite possibly if you had tried moving the animals they wouldn't have settled down again and all that... oh well. ;) Very neat idea! :) |

Spooky.jpgby dassilemComment: Great capture! I love the way the whiskers seem to spider out from the picture... it creates a neat effect. |

Mitzi1.jpgby dassilemComment: Well, here's my two cents. ;)
I actually think the cropping is okay here... the composition works nicely, and I am not really bothered by the whiskers. But perhaps to get the horizontal crop, you could use the cloning tool to get rid of the shower curtain? I played around with it a bit in photoshop and got this:

I also intensified the colors (maybe too much?) added some contrast, and did a bit of burning and dodging. This is just what I personally might have done. I think it's a great shot with lots of potential - that subtle expression makes this a really wonderful capture. :) Hope this was helpful! Message edited by author 2008-02-03 18:03:30. |

The Lightby hazeComment: I wish the hands were in better focus... but I really like the rich tones and the beautiful lighting. The composition is also nice. I'm not entirely sure about the color. I could go either way with it. Fix that focus, and I think this will be a truely beautiful image! |
