Ah - overlays!!!!

One of my gazillion beach shots from my last Florida visit.

The original is almost colorless. I enhanced with levels and color balance, using cyan and yellow.

Overlayed with this:

in darken only mode (flipped)

and this:

in 50% overlay mode.

That's it - shocking little processing for me.

Also - I'm going to put the date of creation in with the notes, instead of when I took the base photo.

Very nice choice of overlay it really suits the subject extremely well. Big smile on my face ... great capture of bird on top of the pole.

Nice effect with the water. The black one I never would've guessed to be there, but now that you mention it...

I like it very much - it looks like it could be on the cover of a science fiction magazine/book

I love how the overlay livens up this image, while still enhancing a sense of calm peacefulness. Great reflections throughout.

The choice of a shimmery water texture over a beach scene is perfect. I really like the colour of the final image.

Just one nitpik, straighten the horizon. ;o)

When staring at picture Smelled ocean and could feel the sun... It is crazy how the mind works. I like how the beach is slightly uneven and rising to the right helps with the guy walking and how he effects the picture in that it gives a sense of motion.

I loved your beach ones you did last time and I love this one too! Great to see some old friends again particularly the vintage background I had forgotten about that!
