Nature's Mirrorby ElaineComment: The vanishing point is cool, the reflections are nice, but the whole thing isn't quite striking enough. Maybe some more post-processing would have helped - sharpen it, bring out the colours, dodge/burn, change the sky a bit. It just needs something more to make it stand out. |

Out Among the Elementsby JuliBocComment: Pretty capture - I think the human figure in the distance adds a whole new layer to what would otherwise be an ordinary beach shot.
The colours are nice, but maybe not quite striking enough - maybe playing around with them a bit more in pp would have made the shot stand out more. |

Frost hydrant sweatby snafflesComment: The use of the cooling filter is a bit too obvious - the picture just looks like your white balance setting was off by miles. However, selectively applying it might have worked quite well, as I think it does work on certain parts of the image. You can see sharpening traces on the railing, that could've been fixed too.
Otherwise pretty nice - interesting composition, it looks like the hydrant is running forwards :) |
