Has a nice lazy summer day feel to it. I have to say, if they get much darker you'll be shooting with your lens cap on soon heheh.

And the world will not see yet another floating dandelion seed. The horror!

I think the background in this shot is excellent. The gradient made by the light is superb and highlights the flower perfectly. Everything else is great too, focus, composition, blah blah. Almost like it for the fact that it looks like a failure with those drooping seeds.

You did come up with a decent idea.

I like the stark difference between lights and darks here with very little transition. I sort of wish there was a balance between the two, say by moving the apples to the left a bit and letting the whitespace get equal real estate in the frame. Details on the apples, where present, adds just enough texture to keep the shot from being boring.

I love the processing. This is a look I often find myself producing as well, and I think it makes for great bw shots. How well it works with this particular subject, I'm not so sure of. On the one hand it creates a mental tug of war between the cute/innocent subject and the morose/gloomy environment made by the processing. I like that. On the other hand it could be interpreted as a poor match between processing and subject. Will be interesting to see how it resonates with other people.

Another fine shot. I'm spending the next coupel days in a pretty raunchy part of Chicago. Assuming neither my car nor my camera get stolen, I hope to get some nice 'street' shots like you seem to be producing.

Radical variances between lights and darks, but you captured them all without losing highlight detail and still managing to keep some detail in the darker areas. I like the scene and the composition and I like the overall high contrast presentation.

Purposefully tilted? Not my cup of tea. Burning in the upper right is a bit heavy compared to the other corners. The entire image gives me a sense of imbalance - intended? Could be.
