No, I am a network engineer. A marginally interesting line of work which funds the photography and violin pursuits, without which I would probably go insane and go live in a cave somewhere. |

Your Names Not Down, You're Not Coming In!by bobonacusComment: Dropping a simple s-curve curves layer on the color image adds some contrast and pop. This also looks good in b/w with the same curves layer, though it takes a bit of extra work to dial down the bright white wall behind them. |

The Brideby bobonacusComment: One thing you could do to liven this up a bit would be to add some contrast. The flash hitting her dead-on has left the image very washed out. Using curves would be best so you can pull down the dark and mid tones and leave the highlights alone. If you use the basic brightness/contrast tool, the dress will blow out. |

Number 1.jpgby karmatComment: Very pretty model and an interesting expression on her face. Maybe hit the face with a slight dodge just to bring it out a bit more? |

Hopalong Jackby colorcarnivalComment: I think the lighting is good except for the blown out area of his shirt. Really unless you have complete control over the lighting (or incredible luck), it's very difficult to make a shot that doesn't require some sort of manipulation in post. |
