beautiful shot, how appropriate, i think i would crop up some from the bottom, when first loading this image, i dont see the man i see the beautiful focused foreground, the cropping would help bring the eye right to the tracks and man and show the desolation, no offense intended, as we all see things thru different eyes.
thank you for the view.

Another very well composed shot, well framed and focused, love the blur on the tombstone, so as to make the boy and his thoughts and sadness show out more
thank you for sharing.

There ya go, taking the shot along the shoreline gives us more an idea of how deserted it is, the alone ness, the desolation, the weathered sticks really add to this well framed focused and composed photograph!

nice choice, i think it would be much more effective shooting this along the shoreline, showing the desolation and desertion, there is not enough beach to make me see the desolation, but, a different angle, such as lining the shot up behind them or ahead of them and from a distance, would give more the feeling.nice job just the same!

I think this a very appropriate choice, very well done, the white on it is a bit overbearing, but, you chose the subject matter very well to go with the challenge.

very good job on this one, it is well framed with great thought going into this making the flag colored and the home white, it makes the flag demand attnetion to the tattered old ragged nature.

i cant picture anything more desolate than this, how sad, and unfortunate , the dog house if you can call it that is horribly uncomfortable for this short haired dog, what a desolate way to live.
you captured this very well including the long nails that desperatly need a trim.
