Be Careful Now Or The Rose Fairy Will Get Youby flip89Comment: Good idea for a fantasy world. A garden scene works and the idea of fairy and child is good. Composition and framing generally OK.
There are some areas where this could be improved. The general image technical quality is not particularly high and focus is soft. It appears the contrast is not correct and that a black point should be set. The direct sunlight is harsh, particualrly on the left side of the fairy character.
You might have considered having the fairy hold the broad leaf on the long stem over the child to convey a sense that the child is undergoing an enchanted spell. It might be good to have her attention directed toward the fairy character. In this pose she appears disinterested. |

Juxtapositionby Dr.ConfuserComment: Nice composition, good colors and good general image technical quality. It does not have overexposed areas, applies good the rule of thirds well with the modern structure and the dramatic clouds add interest to the composition.
You might consider using light dodging to slightly brighten the far left side of the frame on the darkened portion of the building to keep it from drawing attention away ffrom the rest of the image.
Good image. Should get a decent score. |

Thumbelina's Gardenby LucidLotusComment: Nice B&W. Sprouts make a curious surrealistic world that works well for this challenge. Exposure is good. Full range of tones.
The white objects in a line are mostly out of focus draw but strongly draw attention. What they are and their purpose is unknown and are major distractions. It could be legitimately argued that in a fantasy world you won;t understand all things, but viewers will not buy that with those objects and it will hurt the overal score of this image. There is background some noise that should be removed. |

The world belowby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: Great perspective and good color. Framing is nice. Appears that horizon is level.
A view from this perspective will probably work for most voters as meeting the challenge. For some, of course, it will not. It is a creative approach to the challenge.
On the technical side focus seems on the soft side and detail gets lost. |

Where the Purple People Eaters Liveby ShannonComment: Natural framing is good. Bridge angle and covered wood creates a tranquil scene.
Unfortunately, this is a good example of a perfectly good image being destroyed by an attempt to meet a challenge. Color is artificial and wrong, image has excessive noise and image general quality and clarity is very poor. All this will contribute to a very low score. Chalk this one up as a learning experience. |

Space Travelby BrianRComment: Curious metal abstract. Image quality and clarity is decent. Composition is OK.
This will leave some viewers with unanswered questions. The main thing will be they will wonder what that other part, besides the sky, that is reflected in the "space vehicle". Because it is to hard to figure out they may be a little frustrated and vote this composition a little lower as a result. |

Starmanby sherComment: Nice bokeh and the translucent look makes for a very appealing composition. Good composition and image quality. There are a number of alien themed images and reviewers having seen them could affect your score. The left shoulder and arm of the alien is overexposed and should be toned down a bit to keep them from being an image distraction. |

Mines Gravityby maralomarComment: Nice perspective and good composition.
The image is slightly low contrast. An autocontrast adjustment will make this image look a little brighter. It is always a good idea to try autocontrast after you are finished processing to see if your final image is contrasted properly. That does not work with every image but does give you an idea if you might need further processing to get the final image perfect.
You might consider darkening the right side of the cloud at the top about 20-30% with burning to make it more dramatic. There ara couple dark specks on the image, probably caused by a dirty detector, that should be cloned out. You might consider darkening the color of blue in the sky for added interest. |

Free worldby heidaComment: This is a fantastic composition. You are a genius to have come up with this combination of lighting, fantasy action and color. Good use of the rule of thirds.
Reviewers will easily connect with your image.
It is ever so slightly overexposed but that seems to work very well with your fantasy illusion. The bubbles are a little hard to see at first but are a nice addition.
This will be a top placing image in this challenge. |
