I wish this were in color, it would have more impact and tie to your excellent title better. Can you please post the color version in your portfolio as I would like to see the difference. - 5

Nice B&W. Sprouts make a curious surrealistic world that works well for this challenge. Exposure is good. Full range of tones.

The white objects in a line are mostly out of focus draw but strongly draw attention. What they are and their purpose is unknown and are major distractions. It could be legitimately argued that in a fantasy world you won;t understand all things, but viewers will not buy that with those objects and it will hurt the overal score of this image. There is background some noise that should be removed.

I don't think that the black and white adds to this photo. Thumbelina would like a bright and fun world!!

I'm a sucker for b&w's, and this one has lots of interest in it. I do think the DOF could be a little larger to really help me find something to focus on. 6

You're right! That IS Thumbalina's garden! I like the softness of the photo...adds to the mood, and I like all the curvy sprout-like things. Personally, I wish it was in color. This particular black and white treatment doesn't move me. That said, I still do like the photo.

I find this photo a little flat. Needs to be punched up a bit.

Very odd flower buds - definately other worldly - I like the leading line that the white things make, like little stepping stones for Thumbelina. It is not clear what the white things are, flowers? Also i think a true black and white might help, the toal range is a bt narrow.

Very interesting take on the challenge. I like the B and W. Maybe a tad more contrast would be my suggestion. Nice composition.
