A Study in Shadowsby ClubJuggleComment: Hard to tell that flora was the subject of this photograph. The shadows are so prevalent that the ones from the tree blend in with others on the ground. Needs to be more separation in tones here for it to be as effective as it could be. |

Peace lilyby RobroComment: This is a little underexposed with some relatively very bright light pulling me away from the subject. The tones around the flower are too near that of your subject so it gets lost in the background. The white on the flower is also kind of greyish which causes lots of detail to be lost. Highlight on the tip has all detail blown out from it, too. |

Spring Surprise - where's my red tulips?by BJComment: Very uneven exposure - very over to very under exposed. Lots of detail in the background is also distracting. Beautiful colors really make this eye catching. |

Disappearby jimmythefishComment: Neat use of a path through the image. I like that it leads me through the photograph. |

Dandy Lionby LanSnakeComment: One quality to these macro shots that sets others apart as "outstanding" from just "good" is their uniform lighting and their solid backgrounds. Here there are some "hot spots" that are distracting and the overall exposure seems low which is preventing some of the details and color from standing out. |

Flowers Squaredby wdebeau1Comment: Composition is a bit ackward and seems to crop off too much of the subject disproportionately. Exposure and saturation also seem a little on the dark side (maybe too much of a cloudy day to photograph brightly colored subjects). Background bush is also a little distracting. |

Easter Flowersby YomiComment: Great repeatitive theme in the background. Good use of your focal depth and excellent exposure and composition. High rankings for this one. |
