a cigarette (oh I miss them, damn social trends. He has already finished one at present location and is now enjoying another).

This is an interesting image. I don't know how you feel about manipulations, but I would enjoy this more if the bg were somehow more separated from the rest of the image. You might try a gradient mask for example.
