Boxedby PaulComment: I like the several levels of contrast, one has hand outside-the-box, skin tone, hair style, etc.
Some ideas outside-the-box:
Have one upside down and it would look like a playing card.
Maybe, then add a fake hearts of diamonds tattoo. You can just shoot it horizontally, one on top of the other then rotate 90 degrees, so one doesn't have to do headstands. |

Black or White?by gyabanComment: I would love to see this with just the one black-n-white cow.
Great for a commercial or printed ad.
Added: Also reminds me of some old record album cover, maybe by Pink Floyd. Message edited by author 2010-07-20 12:00:18. |

Portrait 3by KristinaGComment: I love this style of lighting, with just a touch of reflective light or a small fill-in flash. That avoids some possible white-out highlights of the hair that may not have any pixels of color and then not be able to print.
The sun and a reflector is the cheapest light source. You can use an accordian-fold window sun reflector placed on dashboards of pickup trucks. "SystemPro Reflecta Disc" makes nice large circular one, like the 41" diameter 5-in-1 pack (reflective, Silver, White, Gold, combination Gold-Silver, and Translucent White) The wire frame folds down and the 4-sided cover unzips to use the reverse sides. |
