Technical elements: The horizon line is only slightly off-center, so I'm going to assume that was not equal to your "Rule of Thirds" idea. The fisherman & the High-Key white spot above him in the clouds are both near the two R1/3 points on the right side of the photo. As such they seem to "play off" of each other in a near mirror-image sort of way. Nice balance and interplay of elements. I am especially taken by the clouds that seem to form a fan-shape whose origin is approximately "dead center" of the composition. The ripples in the water appear to be mirroring the effect once again.

That looks like at the beach. Since my little JOY turns three next week and went to the beach for the first time just last month, I can imagine this being Shanna in about a decade or so. Very pleasant image and candid. :)
