Nice shot, love the tone. I, too, like the the girl in motion and to me I think it's b/c it creates a sense of the world bustling by this group of friends. How every thing else around doesn't matter except them, pretty cool.

This does well in b&w and has an eloquent feel to it, I do agree that a bit more detail in the background could strengthen the photo, still very nice.

A nice image and I like the composition. I love big cats and you captured the laid back demeanor that these cats usually display. This does seems a bit oof as I can't quite find a focus point that is sharp. I try not to be a "sharp" freak but on wildlife photos I generally prefer them to be sharp with the focus usually on the eyes, your taste may vary. I might boost the contrast a tid bit as well. They are beautiful animals. Technicals and some background or what you were trying to achieve are nice to add so people know what your intentions were, as well as what you feel about your subject, just another thought. Trevor~

I like this shot the best, even though you have a bit of camera shake. If I might suggest that when shooting you should try to shoot no slower than 1/focal lenght sec to eliminate camera shake(if you have a steady hand, faster if you are shaky). That means if you are shooting at the 135mm you should be at 1/135 sec. Factor in the movement of plants due to wind and moving insects you should try for a around 1/250(faster for really quick moving bugs). I noticed you had the ISo at 100 and you can easily crank that to 400(800 on you camera is exposed properly and some noise reduction post capture), this will give you some more leeway w/ the shutter and increasing you DOF by stopping down. I noticed on all three images you were around the 1/80 sec which more times than not will cause you motion blur and a blurred subject. Nice pics for your first time out with the new lens!

Great cinamatic feel to this shot. What I really like about this shot is that it goes from dark to light from the left to right of the frame. There is a nice subtle diaganol line created from the footprints that helps pull the viewer through the frame and through this light change. When you get through the frame there is this perfect human element to anchor the shot, a great shot, well done!
