I believe this doesn't follow the "already broken" part of the challenge description, but I think this image is worth it. That must have been some tough egg! ;-)

exquisite shot! congratulations!

Enquiring minds do want to know, though, to borrow the phrasing of a previous poster: "what are the orbs?"

???? I must know! :-)

Again, congrats. A very worthy image.

Wow, very nice capture of this man. I would suggest cropping a little off the top, and a fair bit (maybe 1/4 of the image) off the left (leaving a little space around his head, but cropping off a bunch of his shoulder), to frame his face more in the upper-left of the frame, for even more impact... and that's on a shot that I found pretty impactful to start with. :-)

Alas, the (lack of) cropping I'm finding to be more distracting than I'd like... With it, I think this image would be at least a 9, and maybe even a 10 for me. without it, I'm struggling... I want to give it an 8, because it's such a nice capture of a moment, but I find it just doesn't quite sit well with me, and so I think I'll have to give it a 7.

Interesting... After reading the "Do you know..." line(s), I'm still left wanting to read the rest of the sign, but find I can't in the image scaled for dpchallenge... would be curious to know what else it says. :-)

Perhaps he's a snake, snaking off with the sign. ;-)

Nice setup, nicely titled, nice capture. :-)

(If this were advanced editing, I'd suggest mixing in a daylight-exposure moon, maybe, but otherwise I quite like this shot.)

Beautiful lighting and exposure.

Unfortunately, I find the composition distracting -- specifically that the rails are off-center (frequently a good thing, but when you have parallel lines like that, it's nice (to me, anyway) to have them come from the corners of the image... I also wonder if maybe your horizon is off -- the front-most tie seems to be OK, but the overall image feels to me like it's tilted to the left... not certain.

Still a nice image. I give it a high 7.

I think this might be one of those rare images where centering works well... Anyway, I find that I (if only me) am distracted by the crop on the right.

FYI, I find the border stripe on this image to be very distracting. I've seen the same technique work well on other images, so it can certainly work... I just find it distracting, here. Perhaps if the image was cropped differently, it would work better?
