I don't know American Sign Language, but looked up the letters on the web. I hope we got them right.
Used strobe function to fire off the three flashes. It took tons of tries before hubby managed to have his hands in the right place - I thank him for his patience (as well as my daughters who had tried as well).

Post Processing: mostly curves, then desat via channel mixer, neat image crop and getting it ready for dpc. I'm sure others could have done better in the post processing, but this is the best I could come up with. Advanced editing would have let me even out the light on the left hand.

Re the validation:
I asked for it myself because I feared that some people may not know how I managed to get the same hand three times into that photo.
Sadly it took a full 3 days (and 160 votes) before the stamp appeared. After that, the score improved. I would love to know how much it would have helped to have that stamp right away.

Great idea! I thought about doing this same kind of thing using 'a b c', but didn't have enough hands. I think I might have shown a bit more of the wrists, or somehow made the lines not as straight. Well done!

Really like this photo, a little outside the box thinking, well executed, good focus, complimentary lighting. Bumping up once more

Love the idea! The skintone is looking a little grey and I think the hand on the left could have used a little more light. Well done.

I like the artistic feeling I et from your shot. Very crisp and clean. It's also nice to see something very different from street signs.

Neat. I had told Rikki easier this evening that my first thought for signs was to "sign" DPC but i couldnt work out how to do it with one exposure - and i don't know american sign language, only australian.
I'm glad someone worked out how to do it though!
