overkill, but I do like the texture and glossiness of the yolk and the reflection in the egg white, good capture

Interesting concept, doesn't really meet the challenge as you broke it for the challenge I would think, but interesting. I think that the crop is also a little centred.

upper parts of the shell are overexposed, reflection is distracting, I don't have the impression you broke the egg with the hammer but just placed it between the parts

I believe this doesn't follow the "already broken" part of the challenge description, but I think this image is worth it. That must have been some tough egg! ;-)

you could try focusing on the broken egg shells instead of the metal thingy.
