Retired - Hobby is Hummingbird Photographyby JEMComment: You get some of the greatest hummingbird photos I've seen. This one is coming in for a landing. I would like to see some of males. So far they've been females. The males have the beautiful colors. This is awesome as I've come to expect. And of course it's a 10 for me. PTL |

Running Water by karmatComment: "WOW'! You sure have the "wow" to this one. Beautiful colors with nice sharp focus, showing the texture of the rocks beautifully. And the water appears to be rushing with such a magnitude of force. This goes in my favorites for sure. A 10 from me. PTL |

A Study in Brownby myqylComment: I love this shot. What animal is this. He sure is looking you straight in the eyes. Hope you had a long zoom to get this, or are a good runner. The technical points are all there, and I especially like the cropping - that you did not crowd him. This gave us several colors of brown and different textures. Congratulations of a 10. |

Self Serviceby SwashbucklerComment: Will my digital that does a short movie print this out also? This is awesome. Good one. The background is really a little too green, but you can't help that a lot. Good focus on the bird and branch. Should do well this challenge. PTL |

Deception Fallsby dltruexComment: Need a lot more focus to really bet the fullness of this. And need to be lighter. I'd give it a 5 because of the interest. PTL |

Winter Breakby crabappl3Comment: Great composition but I would like it a lot lighter, to see the colors of the bird, and his beauty contrasted against the cold sky. Still would give it a 6. PTL |

Winter Streamby alanfreedComment: This is wonderful. You have 3 things that really make it a photo and not just a picture. 1. The snow on the ground. 2. the curve in the creek. and 3. the tree laying across the creek. These three things add so much to the shot. If you could only have had a little sky. Don't want much do I? It's an 8 in my book. PTL |

Frozen in the Mudby inspzilComment: Dig him up and thaw him out - he might live. This is vry unique and comes through very clearly with the exception of all of his left legs. But I can definitely tell what it is, or isn't anymore. I like it but don't think it will do well here. To me it's an 8. PTL |

Catch me if you can?by MorganComment: This a a most beautiful bird. Is he yours? I hope you have a photo of all of him. The focus is sharp and the colors are so deep. I love the background out of focus. All your attention is on the bird himself. Those eyes, excuse me, that eye is beautiful. This should place or these people are crazy. Fantastic photo! |

My "Business" Suit for Dry Climatesby jimmyn4Comment: I have great respect for you, your photo, and your occupation. You have two of my sons with you. What an awesome idea of a way to display the uniform. The texture is fantastic. I love this cropping, the lighting, the composition. You lost your focus a little at the bottom, but not enough to hurt anything - emotions did not distract my critique. God bless you and God bless America. This is worth a 10. PTL |
