WOW! A Still Life!by MarkRobComment: Was going to say you needed to smooth out the background, but the more I look at it the better I like it as it is. Need more light on the bottle especially, then lighten the whole photo a little. The bowl appears to be a little different and should be able to be seen better. Has great potential. |

Weathered Perfectionby ShiiizzzamComment: The creases in the background should have been ironed out before the shot. This is a nice still life, but I personally feel the background should have been a little lighter or totally black. To me either of them would have shown off the gourd better. Your focus is real good and the light on the gourd is good. Nice piece of art work. |

Networkby av8orboyComment: I know what you are getting...busy, too busy, But I don't care what they say. I LIKE IT and think it is beautiful. Too many time all the limbs have is ice on them. I love to see them with this much snow on them. this is a beautiful B&W. Fantastic job. It's a ribbon winner to me. |

The Cliché Color: White by a1leyez0nm3Comment: This almost looks like a cartoon, such a Rodolph or any of the Christmas cartoons. The white snow has a blue tint to it, which I feel is the reason for the title. The sky peaking through the clouds is a beautiful blue. This is a beautiful snow scene, whether it is real or not. It's beautiful and well done. |

Gone Fishin'by PedroComment: Feel this would have been better in color. Can't see what it is that he's looking at on the ground, and in color might have been able to see it. I could be wrong, but I don't see any line or anything on the stick to make it a fishing pole. Maybe that's nit-picking but the title says he is fishing. And the photo doesn't show that. Even though it is a nicely focus and well cropped photo. Has great potential with better execution. Best of luck. |

Caught Nappingby AnnidaComment: Much too soft of focus. Also the cat looks like it is falling down into a crevice between the wall and whatever he is laying on. You didn't get quite all the color out which gives him a purple nose. Good potential with better execution. |

house plantby jjbeguinComment: This is a beautiful Christmas cactus, with or without the water. To me if you are going to put water on any of it you should have put it on all of it, including the fully bloomed flower. Personally I don't feel the water really adds anything to a photo. The focus on this is fantastic. Nice choice of blooms, not too many but just enough, especially one open and one closed. Great choice. Could be a wonderful piece of art - decide about the water. Course this is just my opinion. |

Bird of Paradiseby CubComment: Ohhhhhh. It hurts that you cropped him up. I love the photo, but all of it. I find myself scrolling down to see the rest of the photo. I'm not kidding. What you have is nice, just not enough of it. With all of it I could have even overlooked the too soft of focus on the plant. I personally think it should have been sharper. But that's just me, like the Whole bird thing. It's still a nice photo, though. |

This Old Houseby kate12303Comment: This is a really neat old house. Looks like it was a lodge of some kind. Looks like it is full of lots of good stories. Wondering if B&W was the best choice for this one. I rather like the pealing paint and weathering of the wood. That might added to the photo to be able to see it in color. But just a thought. It is great just like it is. I really like the hazy soft focus on this. Wish you the best. It's really good. |

Soft Landingby ZiggyComment: Can't quite read the stone. What does it say. Not the photo's problem, it's the tri-focal problem. Don't know what the white is but it is heavenly looking. Almost satin to whipped cream appearence. This is superbly done. Only flaw I might see is the croping on the left side and bottom needs to come in to the circle part to equal the other sides, or vice versa. But doesn't matter that much to me. It's beautiful like it is. Great photo. |
