The Evolution of Woodyby jfwolpertComment: This was an excellent idea Jude, great creativity! I think overall, you pulled off the lighting quite nicely here too. Well done, not a bad score at all :) |

Calvaryby timfythetooComment: I quite liked this one and thought you very brave for going down the religious road. A great score despite 26 fools! :) |

The Awakeningby red_geckoComment: Nice. Maybe opening the door(?) a bit for a wider gap, along with a smaller aperture to darken the surface and background, would have lifted this somewhat. But nonetheless, the idea alone has merit. So with a second look, I'm bumping... |

Good Morningby xXxscarletxXxComment: You so remind me of my daughter, only, she's mostly still horizontal while going through the morning stretch routine! :D bump |

Morning Rainby glodaComment: God, this is so very wonderful. I can't adequately express how utterly taken I am with your image. My favourite from this challenge and very likely, my favourite of all I've seen on DPC. |

Leading the Bandby jfwolpertComment: I quite liked the exposure and colour in this one, but I think it was a case of the background screaming for more attention than your subject. Perhaps an even tighter dof next time? Unfortunately, American football fever is a little bit lost on me, I'm afraid, but that doesn't make your image any less visually exciting :) Good job! |

'The Believer'by taljComment: A few shots along similar lines in this challenge. I felt that the concept showed a good understanding of the criteria: "the essence of a person". But as Sonya says, DPC voters can be fickle. I liked the choices you made with post processing. Particularly the tones, not quite b&w. Zoom blur around the fingertips is a nice touch too, softening the overall feel. Nice going Captain :) |

Absent mindedby MelethiaComment: Completely agree with Tim. I thought this was a wonderful piece. The voting was an absolute travesty... |

Nest of Pearlsby jfwolpertComment: I like the concept. Without the title, I wouldn't have got it. However, connection or not, it's still a technically sound image. My thoughts on this echo the other commenters with respect to spots and egg position, but I also wondered if a different perspective may have lifted this? Maybe level with the egg rather than a downward point of view? Just a thought :) |
