When they're done well, I love far-away shots; I love this far-away shot :) I love the birds on the beach, too; that's a nice, sharp lens you've got there to get them so clearly on the edge. Thanks for the lesson, too, sounds like a nice place to visit.

That's a great shot; the water looks so cool flowing over the rocks into the pool below. The browns and tones are just perfect here. Nicely done!

Day 15 Morris Island Light House

I really like the choices you made here with this shot; the movement in the water, the composition, and the lighting are all nice. The sky looks like it had some potential (especially with the white fluffy cloud hanging up there), but honestly I'm not good enough with skies to offer any real advice (I probably would have added a layer, selected the sky, clipped the rest out of that level, and played with levels/curves/color just for the sky, and then tried to blend it back in with the underlying image -- this sometimes leads to disastrous results that I then delete, though, so there must be a better way!).

Day 22 - Sambro Harbour

Great shot. I'm so jealous of anyone who knows how to catch those stupid sunrays coming through clouds! Nice composition and perfect exposure here for what you wanted to show us.

Cleaning Jack at Work :)

I like this shot, especially the slight blur on Ol' Jack, showing him so hard at work even the camera couldn't stop him. The mist really adds to the whole feel of the photo. I'm not overly fond of the thick border, but it doesn't really detract from the shot.

The Old Bomb

The tones here really make the nostalgia of the shot come through; nicely composed, as well, especially with the open-ness of the Old Bomb.

Bare trees are tough to sharpen, but the detail in the rest is probably worth the trade-off. I really like the detail in the barn, which is there but not overly bright. Gives a nice feel to the whole shot for me.

Nice shot, well chosen, composed and processed. I like the post processing; amazing how much that now seems indispensible to me, when before December I thought I didn't need it! Thanks for showing us the original, too.

Great shot, really nicely done. I had a shot for this something "else" too, but didn't realize it was a minimal editing challenge, and I shot it in RAW. Oh well, I may run it in the free study this month ('cause I like to take a beating). I'm glad we got to see this one now, though!

Day 21 - Super Dog II

Nice capture, and I like the composition. You should be able to get rid of the blue tinge in the snow and the dog's chest with a white balance adjustment in post processing.
